However, Noboru Tazaki pointed out that currently Japan and China Taiwan are "big market", in 2015 South Korea will become a "big market", and by 2020 China will become a real "big market."
Noboru Tazaki compared the LED industry as a large light bulb, in this light bulb, the low-end market accounted for most proportion of the overall market, mid-and high-end accounted the small proportion relatively. "At present, South Korea, Chinese Taiwan and chinese mainland are concentrated in low-end market, this market is huge. In order to develop new revenue sources, Nichia plans to enter the low-end market."
Currently, Nichia is one of the world's five big giant LED maker, owns a large number of patents and technologies, the company's previous target is the high-end products, and mainly provide products for the Japanese market.
