Recently, LEDKE Technology Co., Ltd cooperated with Nanchang city government on the city's LED street light projects, LEDKE sent 3 technicians tracked this projects from the beginning, and the projects finally finished on 15 Oct 2009. On the Ziyang Avenue in east entrance of Nanchang city, Jiangxi Province, there replaced 484 pcs LED street lights. Ziyang road is the first path that use the LED street lamps in Jiangxi province.
Project General Manager Yao-Ting Chen said, "Ziyang Avenue with length of 5.4 km, totally installed 484 pcs 112-watt LED lamps." Yao-Ting Chen pointed out, LED lights not only energy-saving and environmental protection, but also easy to replace. " The LED street lights fromed by a lot of a LED light sources, even if one source is broken, it's don't need to replace all."
Compared to the currently used high-pressure sodium lamp, LED street lights with energy-saving rate up to 50%. This 484 LED lights will save 459,000 KW electricity each year if calculate by 11 hours per day. "At present, the electricity pirce is RMB 0.98 yuan/KW, so this road can save about 450,000 yuan a year. Is also equivalent to save 153 tons of coal annually." Yao-Ting Chen said.
Also, the extending Yangming road and 81 bridges will also be installed with LED street lights. "Yanming Road with length of 1.08 kilometers, can be installed 205 LED street lamps, and can save 245 thousand KW electricity." Yao-Ting Chen said. Currently, there are totally 134,000 pcs street lighting in Nanchang, if they can replace all of them into the LED street lamp, the city will save 48.91 million KW electricity each year. the equivalent to save 48.91 million yuan.
