Compared with the traditional CCFL backlight, the LED backlight technology is an advanced technology, because it's have better color gamut, and stronger color performance than the CCFL backlight; Also the LED life can be up to 10 million hours, significantly extending the life of LCD TV; LED brightness with wide adjustment range, but the CCFL have threshold for the minimum brightness; traditional CCFL with lower light-emitting flashing frequency, the performance of dynamic scenes may skip the screen, LED backlight with flexible and adjustable light frequency, and the frequency is much higher than CCFL, thus can display well for dynamic scenes; LED can use red, green and blue color independently, it is easy to control the characteristics of display colors precisely; the white balance of LED backlight can be a good guarantee for the overall contrast and brightness; LED is a kind of planar light source, the most basic light-emitting unit is square package with side length of 3 ~ 5mm, it is very easy to combined together as a surface light source and with good brightness uniformity. If LED as backlight for the LCD TV, the supported necessary optical components can be done very simple, the screen Brightness uniformity is more remarkable; LED uses 5 ~ 24V low-voltage power supply, does not require high voltage, very safe for use, power board design is also quite simple; LED light source does not produce any radiation, and no toxic substances like mercury , green and environmental protection.
